Characters in The Lovely Bones

Susie Salmon- the main character, who is raped and murdered at the age of 14. She narrates the novel from heaven.
Jack Salmon- Susie's father, who is determined to find Susie's killer and is filled with quilt.
Abigail Salmon- Susie's mother, who has an affair with Len, leaves her family but does return.
Lindsay Salmon- Susie's younger sister.
Buckley Salmon- Susie's younger brother, he sees Susie while she watches him from heaven.
Grandma Lynn- moves into the Salmon house after Abigail leaves, Abigail's mother. She is an alcoholic.
George Harvey- the man who killed Susie along with many other girls. He is the Salmon's neighbor.
Ruth Connors- a strange girl Susie went to school with, but they never talked. After Susie's death she becomes fascinated with Susie and sees visions of the dead and devotes her life to writing about them.
Ray Singh- a boy Susie went to school with from India, the first and only boy Susie kissed, who becomes best friends with Ruth. He was the first suspect of the murder as he was last seen with Susie but is proven innocent.
Ruana Singh- Ray's mother, Abigial's friend.
Samuel Heckler- Linday's boyfriend and later husband.
Len Fenerman- the detective in charge of investigating Susie's death , his wife commited suicide and later has an affair with Abigail.
Clarissa- Susie's best friend on earth
Holly- Susie's best friend in heaven.
Franny- Susie and Holly's mentor in heaven.
Holiday- Susie's dog!
